ชื่อ “เลอซิปู” มาจากไหน เดิมแล้ว เลอชิปู ไม่ใช่คำว่าเลอชิปู แต่คือ “เลอะชิปู” แปลว่า ในนาข้าว ซึ่งเลอชิปูนั้นเป็นโฮมสเตย์เล็กๆ ที่ตั้งอยู่กลางป่า มีนาขั้นบันไดและถูกล้อมรอบไปด้วยภูเขาและลำธาร ซึ่งอาจกล่าวได้ว่าเป็นโฮมสเตย์ที่เป็นดั่ง “เซฟโซนของนักเดินทาง” เลยก็ว่าได้

เลอซิปู เป็นโฮมสเตย์เล็กๆ ที่แตกต่างจากโฮมสเตย์ที่อื่นๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นในเรื่องของค่าที่พักที่แล้วแต่ผู้เข้าพักจะให้ และมีอีกหนึ่งอย่างที่สถานที่แห่งนี้มีความแตกต่างจากโฮมสเตย์ที่อื่น คือในเรื่องของความสะดวกสบาย เลอชิปูเป็นสถานที่ที่ไม่มีไฟฟ้าใช้ ผู้คนใช้ชีวิตแบบเรียบง่าย และเป็นกันเอง ถือได้ว่าเป็นอีกหนึ่งสถานที่ที่ผมประทับใจ และเลือกสถานที่แห่งนี้ในการบอกเล่าความรู้สึกและถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวต่างๆ ออกมาเป็นรูปภาพเหล่านี้ 

ในการตัดสินใจเดินทางไปยังสถานที่แห่งนี้ ผมรู้สึกว่าสถานที่แห่งนี้มันเป็นมากกว่าที่พักผ่อน เพราะครั้งแรกที่ผมไป ทุกคนต้อนรับผมเป็นอย่างดี และเป็นกันเอง จนผมรู้สึกว่าเหมือนไม่ได้ไปพักที่โฮมสเตย์ แต่ความรู้สึกเหมือนได้ไปพักบ้านเพื่อนมากกว่า มันเป็นความสบายใจที่ไม่สามารถอธิบายได้จริงๆ ตลอดระยะเวลาที่ผมเดินทางไปสถานที่แห่งนี้ ผมพบเจอ ผู้คนมากมายที่แวะเวียนเข้ามาพัก ผมได้ใช้ชีวิตร่วมกับคนแปลกหน้า ที่แต่ละคนล้วนแล้วแต่เดินทางมา ณ สถานที่แห่งนี้ เพื่อมาพักผ่อน ฮีลใจ และเพื่อหลีกหนีความวุ่นวายที่พบเจอในชีวิต เช่นเดียวกับผม และอีกหนึ่งอย่างที่ผมประทับใจมากที่สุดคือการได้ร่วมทำกิจกรรมร่วมกัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการทำอาหาร การล้อมวงรอบกองไฟเล่าเรื่องราวชีวิตที่ผ่านพบมาของแต่ละคนให้กันฟัง แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นและการใช้ชีวิต ซึ่งมันเป็นความธรรมดาที่สุดแสนจะพิเศษสำหรับผมมากๆ และไม่สามารถหาที่แห่งใดมาเทียบได้เลย ผมเชื่อแล้วจริงๆว่า “เลอชิปู ไม่ใช่สถานที่ แต่เป็นผู้คน” ดังคำกล่าวของพี่โอ้ (เจ้าของโฮมสเตย์เลอชิปู) ที่ได้กล่าวไว้

The name “Le Chi Pu” originates from the term “Lē chi pu,” which originally meant “in the rice fields.” Le Chi Pu refers to a small homestay located in the midst of the forest, surrounded by terraced rice fields, mountains, and streams. It could be described as a “safe zone for travelers.”

Le Chi Pu is a small homestay that stands apart from others, not only in terms of the accommodation rate, where guests contribute what they feel is fair, but also in terms of the comfort it offers. Le Chi Pu is a place without electricity, where people live simply and warmly, creating an intimate and welcoming environment. It is a place that left a strong impression on me, which is why I chose to share my feelings and convey stories through the images. 

In making the decision to travel to this destination, I felt that it was more than just a place of relaxation. From the very first moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by everyone, who treated me with such kindness and friendliness that I felt as if I wasn’t staying at a homestay but rather at a friend’s home. It was a sense of comfort that is truly indescribable. Throughout my time at this location, I encountered many people who came to stay, sharing life with strangers who had all ventured to this place seeking rest, healing, and an escape from the chaos of everyday life, much like me and one of the aspects that impressed me the most was the opportunity to engage in shared activities. Whether it was cooking together or gathering around the campfire to share the stories of our lives, exchanging thoughts and experiences, these moments were incredibly ordinary yet remarkably special to me, unmatched by any other place. I truly believe in the words of Brother O (The owner of Le Chi Pu Homestay) when he said, “Le Chipo is not a place, it’s a people.”
