ดิฉันตีความหมอลำในมุมมองร่วมสมัย โดยผสมผสานเอกลักษณ์ดั้งเดิมของเครื่องแต่งกาย สีสัน ลวดลาย และท่าทางการแสดงเข้ากับแฟชั่นสมัยใหม่ เพื่อสะท้อนให้เห็นว่าหมอลำไม่ใช่มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่หยุดนิ่ง แต่เป็นศิลปะที่มีชีวิต สามารถพัฒนาและสื่อสารให้กับคนรุ่นใหม่ได้ ผลงานนี้จึงไม่เพียงเป็นการสืบทอดวัฒนธรรมอีสาน แต่ยังเป็นการบอกเล่าความภาคภูมิใจในรากเหง้าของดิฉัน ผ่านการถ่ายภาพแฟชั่นที่ร่วมสมัยของหมอลำในมิติใหม่ที่ยังคงเคารพต่อจิตวิญญาณดั้งเดิมของศิลปะการแสดงพื้นบ้านนี้

This work portrays Mor Lam not merely as a performing art, but as an integral part of my identity, growing alongside my family. The culture of Mor Lam was absorbed from my childhood through the sounds of the khaen, the phin, the drum rhythms, and the storytelling on stage, all of which my grandparents and family passed down to me, becoming cherished memories and sources of inspiration for this fashion photography project.

I interpret Mor Lam through a contemporary lens, blending the traditional uniqueness of its costumes, colors, patterns, and gestures with modern fashion. This approach reflects that Mor Lam is not a static cultural heritage but a living art form that can evolve and communicate with new generations. This work, therefore, is not only a continuation of Isaan culture but also a personal expression of pride in my roots, presenting Mor Lam in a fresh, contemporary fashion perspective while still honoring the original spirit of this traditional performing art.
